COED 6 v 6 GENERAL RULES (Let’s get everything in black and white…) LEAGUE CHECK IN • All teams must check-in at least 30’ before the start of their first games in order to register and participate in the tournament. ( 15’ BEFORE YOUR GAME THEREAFTER) • All players must be properly registered to the league and their team AND bring with them a valid government-issued photo ID. • Captains must present an official roster ( available at www.miamiwomensoccer.com) to the ref EVERY GAME of the participating season. • Players must wear an official issued team shirt of the correct color during all games. • Teams may not print their own shirts for official games. • Players failing to meet any of the above requirements will not play.
EQUIPMENT: MPSWL provides the game equipment and each player gets their own official team t-shirt. Each team will be issued 4 game balls at the beginning of each game , to be returned to the ref at the end of the game by the captain. There are no ball-boys, subs are encouraged to chase balls to keep playing time to a maximum
TEAMMATES: You can register as an individual, with a group of friends, or as part of a team up to 13 players ( player 13 plays free)
AFTER THE GAMES: We encourage all players to join us after the games at ………………for some food and drinks
PARTIES: there will be an end of season party that is planned by the league board and team captains. The winning team will get a $ 250 tab at the selected venue.
LEAGUE BOARD: EACH TEAM IS ENCOURAGED TO PROVIDE A MEMBER TO THE BOARD . THIS BOARD WILL DISCUSS ISSUES, ORGANIZE PARTIES AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS. This is your league, participate and make it better everyday!
CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: being a captain is a privilege but it comes with some responsibility. You must attend a pre season meeting (date & venue to be determined) All players on your roster are entitled to play Your final roster is set by the division and may have as many as 13 players Have your team to go to the regular after games activities and attend other social events throughout the season. You are responsible for the conduct of your team and players at all times while at the park. Any harassment of other players, MPSWL representatives or referees must be dealt with immediately by the captain. Make sure your team is aware of the schedule and regularly checks the website for updates. www.miamiwomensoccer.com You need to email your team a day or two prior to game day reminding the players of the start time and field you are playing on. You are responsible for making sure that you have players available and on the field on time for scheduled games Help the newer players with strategy & tips. You may have to help set-up fields if you have the early game and take them down for the late game Make sure you and your players know the rules. Try and get your players involved with the league, join the board, send in photos and comments for the web page etc. Most Important - Have fun!
BONUS POINTS: Every team starts with 3 bonus points. You can lose bonus points (up to 3 per incident) by forfeiting more than 1 game, unsportsmanlike conduct, red cards, violating park rules, etc. Losing these points affects your team’s standing.
| Registration - Each individual player must fill out and submit a registration form, $60 registration fee
- If you are registering as part of a team, the designated team captains are responsible for submitting a team packet to include: the registartion forms for all the players, 2 passport size photos of each player, and applicable fees.
- If you wish to join as a individual, mail in your registration form and fees and you will be placed on a team.
- Include your email address (clearly printed) and your shirt size

Contact: mpswl@hotmail.com FIFA RULES GOVERNING THE GAMES 1. Kick ins or throw ins are allowed. 2. Corner kicks allowed 3. No off sides 4. No slide tackles, no cursing. 5. Slide tackles always result in a DIRECT free kick, Yellow Cards at referee’s discretion. 6. Substitute at any time “on fly” 7. Subs must enter the field at mid field 8. Players must have matching colored shirts with permanent numbers provide by the league – No shirt, no game unless OK’d by league authority. 9. Matching color shorts and sox are encouraged . Captains pls coordinate with your teams 10. 6 a side is 5 field players and 1 keeper 11. 30 minute halves with 5 minute half time 12. Rosters are used to identify players, no player passes are required 13. Player must produce a picture ID for identification upon request. 14. Goal kicks are taken from GOAL LINE inside penalty area 15. Opposing players must be 8 yards from the ball on free kicks 16. Kicks are indirect per FIFA rules 17. Goal keepers may not punt nor drop kick the ball but may set it on the ground to kick away 18. PKs are taken 8 yards from the goal line at the center of the goal 19. All yellow and red cards per FIFA 20. A minimum of 4 ( 2 men/2 women) players are required to start or continue a game 21. Teams without 4 players by 10 minutes past scheduled kickoff forfeit the game 22. Forfeited games result in a 3 - 0 win. 23. If a team forfeits, they will accrue 0 points. More than one forfeit they will loose 1 point 24. Cancelled games due to weather will be re-scheduled. Always check the web page for last minute weather updates. 25. All other rules per FIFA 26. All issues at the field are decided by the ref who’s word is the word of the game and final. 27. Coed teams must have 2 OR 3 ( TO BE AGREED BY THE LEAGUE) female players on the field at all times (keeper is included) if short women than team plays short players. 28. All PK’s regardless of male or female taking them are worth only 1 point. Tie Breaker: . Head to Head (If applicable) • Goal Differentials • Goals Scored • Coin Flip or other option as agreed upon by the parties and league
SPIRIT OF THE RULES The spirit of these regulations is to ensure enjoyment of all participants through a fun environment. All games are to be played in a sportsmanlike manner. If necessary, MPSWL will address any inconsistencies, discrepancies, and misunderstandings in accordance with the spirit of these regulations. These regulations are subject to change without notice.
